In order to stay compliant with Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations, Stripe continuously updates the verification requirements for connected accounts.
As part of these regulatory requirements, additional information or documents may need to be collected from connected accounts. This helps ensure that account information remains accurate, secure, compliant, and protected against fraud.
Where can I complete the verification?
In your Regiondo Dashboard, you may see an orange banner requesting additional verification for your Stripe Connect account. By clicking the banner, you will be redirected to Stripe to provide the required information or upload any necessary documents.
Important:
Please make sure to provide the requested information before the deadline communicated in your dashboard or by Stripe.
If the required information is not submitted in time:
- Your customers may no longer be able to use online payments (except PayPal).
- Weekly payouts to your bank account may be paused.
Updated verification requirements for connected accounts
Stripe requires certain connected accounts to provide and verify Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) information in order to comply with regulatory requirements.
According to Stripe’s documentation, for companies, corporations, LLCs, and partnerships, Stripe may require verification of:
Country-specific verification requirements
United Kingdom, Estonia, Latvia, and Czech Republic
Stripe may verify that your business is registered with the appropriate national business registry.
If Stripe cannot find matching registration information, you may be asked to confirm the business ownership information or provide additional documentation.
Ireland
Stripe may verify the account’s registration in the Register of Beneficial Ownership (RBO).
If matching registration information cannot be found, Stripe may request a document showing proof of registration.
