In order to stay current with the Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations, Stripe is updating the verification requirements for the accounts in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom and Switzerland.
For this purpose, we will need to collect additional information or documents from our connected accounts. This way we make sure that the information is up-to-date, safe, compliant and protected against fraud.
Where:
In your Regiondo Dashboard you will see an orange banner, this will redirect you to complete the required information in your Stripe Connect account:
Important!
Please make sure that you provide the requested information before the 31st of August. Otherwise, it unfortunately will no longer be possible that:
- your customers can use online payments (except PayPal).
- you receive weekly payouts to your account.
Updated requirements for EEA/GB/CH connected accounts
Starting on August 15, 2022, all the newly created EEA/GB/CH connected accounts will need to complete these updated requirements to begin processing payments.
Due to requirements by our regulators, Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) collection and verification are required for all non-sole proprietorship accounts created in Ireland (IE), The Czech Republic (CZ), Estonia (EE), Latvia (LV), and the United Kingdom (GB).
For accounts based in the United Kingdom, Estonia, Latvia, or the Czech Republic:
Stripe will verify that you are registered with the correct national registry.
If no registration information is found, you will need to confirm the business ownership information .
For Ireland:
Stripe will verify the account’s registration in the Register of Beneficial Ownership (RBO). If we cannot find matching registration information, you will need to upload a document showing proof of registration. Instructions on how to obtain that document can be found here.
