In your Provider account, you’ll see the menu item “Merchandising”.
This allows you to create merchandise for your various offers. The term “merchandising” refers to any activities undertaken to promote the sale of goods or services.
Note:
Detailed instructions for creating a piece of merchandise and assigning it to a particular offer can be found here.
Examples of merchandise items
We created a blog article about the different possibilities how our customer used this function:
Polaroid camera for a bachelor party
If, for example, you add a bachelor party to your selection of offers, it’s useful for customers to be able to purchase a polaroid camera for the occasion. This camera would be classed as merchandise for this offer.
Once you’ve created this piece of merchandise, customers booking a “Bachelor Party” will be given the option of adding a polaroid camera to the booking before proceeding to payment.
GoPro camera for a rafting tour
Customers who have booked a river rafting trip are almost certain to be interested in a waterproof camera for taking pictures on-the-go. A mobile phone camera isn’t suitable for this purpose due to its sensitivity to moisture. Therefore, you might decide to offer customers a GoPro camera as an accompanying piece of merchandise.
Once you’ve created this piece of merchandise, customers boking a "Rafting Tour" will be given the option of adding a GoPro camera to the booking before proceeding to payment.
