With day tickets, you can give your customers the possibility to book tickets for a specific date without a specific time. This allows the customer to decide when they want to start the activity on the specified day, as long as it is within opening hours.
Example
Your customer books a day ticket for a museum that is normally open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Your customer no longer has to commit to a specific time, but can visit the museum at any time of the day that is convenient for him.
How to create a day ticket?
If you would like to know how to create an offer find out more here. You can also set the day tickets under Bookings > New Bookings. To learn more about bookings, click here.
Connecting an offer with day tickets
To offer a daily ticket to your customers, go to Dashboard > Manage Offers > My Offers. There, you select the offer for which you want to activate a day ticket. In the section 4- Validity, click on "edit" (for an existing availability), or on "new availability" to add one. Then choose "Fixed/Set Opening Hours", fill in the dates and times, and the "Day Ticket" option will be displayed below. You can set up the manual or automatic reservation request as usual.
Important
Any resources your offer is connected with will be blocked accordingly for the whole time span of your operating hours.
If the offer you want to connect has, for example, recurring dates, you will not be able to use it and you will have to delete it, because day tickets only work with fixed opening hours.
Note
Your customers can also buy a day ticket on the day of the activity, even if you have already opened. Furthermore, the day ticket is not affected by booking cut-off times.
Note
If the day ticket option is selected, it is no longer possible for customers to book within a certain minute interval. This also applies vice versa: If you select the former option with booking at a certain minute interval, a day ticket cannot be used.
Connecting offer bundles with day tickets
This functionality is not supported at the moment.
Changing an existing booking into a day ticket
If you need to change an existing booking, you can change it to a day ticket and vice versa. To do this, go to your bookings and to the specific booking you want to change.
Next, go to "Alter booking" and there you will find an overview of the current booking and the new one. Here you can change the single ticket under "Price for" into the ticket category you created for day tickets.
Important
It is not possible to add a custom time since a day ticket ultimately is for your opening hours. In addition, you should make sure that another ticket category, e.g. Single Ticket, is also available in the offer creation in step 7.
Selling day tickets as a gift voucher
The relevant offer can be found under Manage Offers > My Offers. If you have activated day tickets you can switch on the Gift option and publish your product as usual. This allows your customer to buy the day ticket as a gift voucher.
As the ticket is valid for a whole day, there is no need to choose a time for the activity to start when redeeming the gift voucher.
Offering day tickets on your sales channels
You can also offer day tickets on your connected sales channels. Just map the experience and the created ticket category like you usually would.
Important
Some sales channels do not support day tickets. These include the following:

How do I recognize when someone booked a day ticket?
Day ticket in your booking overview
If you are in your booking overview and would like to distinguish between time-bound bookings and day tickets, you will recognize this by the time span in the column "Appointment". The time period corresponds exactly to your opening hours and signals to you that it is a day ticket, regardless of the view.
Day ticket in your calendar
Go to Dashboard > Calendar. As the day ticket covers the whole day, it is displayed at the top of your calendar view. The day ticket can also be recognized by the time span of the appointment.
If resources are required for your offer, they appear in the Resource view in the calendar setting. These bookings also appear first in the listing with the designation "All day".
What does the customer see?
Day ticket in your Ticketshop
The customer only has to select a date. Regarding the time slot, the opening hours are displayed automatically.
Day ticket in your widgets
Same goes for the widgets you may have integrated in your website. They are updated automatically when you select the day ticket in the offer creation.
Note
If there are both day tickets and time-bound tickets for a day, the view the customer sees depends on the selection he makes: If he chooses a day ticket, the option "Select time" is replaced by the opening hours in the booking widget.
