This article for another example for how to use resources.
Step 1
Create two offers that we will connect together.
Put the number of available tickets for each tour.
Note
The number of available tickets can also be different between the 2 tours
The number of available tickets can also be unlimited
Step 2
Create two different resources, in this case we have 6 bikes for the 4 hr tour and 6 bikes for the 8 hr tour. If you want to connect the tours together, when you create the resources you have to create 1 resource less than the available resources.
Why? Since the first booking only consume the resource for the other tour (as explained in Step.3), you have to put one resource less when you create it.
Example:
Step 3
Connect the resource with each ticket category present inside the offers. The resources have to be set up this way:
4 HOURS TOUR
The first ticket consumes all the resources of the other tour.
So we put it consumes 5 bikes of the 8 hr tour.
Then we put as second available resource the bikes of the 4 hr tour.
We put that 1 ticket consumes 1 available resource
8 HOURS TOUR
The first ticket consumes all the resources of the other tour.
So we put it consumes 5 bikes of the 4 hr tour.
Then we put as second available resource the bikes of the 8 hr tour.
We put that 1 ticket consumes 1 available resource.
The first ticket consumes all the resources of the other tour.
So we put it consumes 5 bikes of the 4 hr tour.
Then we put as second available resource the bikes of the 8 hr tour.
We put that 1 ticket consumes 1 available resource.
