Important Update: SOFORT Payments Ending Soon
What's Changing?
SOFORT, a payment method used by some of our customers in Europe, will no longer be available for new payments starting November 29, 2024. SOFORT is being consolidated into Klarna and as a result, payments via SOFORT will no longer be processed after this date. While this decision is beyond the control of Regiondo, we are here to assist you with the transition.
Please note that existing bookings made via SOFORT can still be refunded through the same payment method for up to 180 days after the original transaction, even past the deadline.
What Actions Do I Need to Take?
To ensure a smooth transition, we recommend switching to one of the alternative payment methods available on the Regiondo platform, such as:
- PayPal
- Debit and Credit Cards
- AliPay (for your customers in Asia)
- American Express (for your customers in the USA)
These alternatives are reliable and will ensure that your checkout process remains seamless for your customers. To learn how to use these payment methods, please refer to our Knowledge Base.
By What Date?
Please update your payment settings before November 29, 2024, to avoid any disruption in processing payments via SOFORT.

One important detail for businesses to realize is that although successful authorization indicates a very high likelihood of payment, funds are not guaranteed to businesses until they are actually received, which is typically 2 business days later (but can be up to 14 days later). Once received, payments cannot be reversed except by Business-initiated refunds. For the sale of low value or high margin items, businesses typically consider the initial authorization to be authoritative and do not wait for the receipt of funds.
