1. When a customer pays via PayPal, he has 180 days to report a dispute. A customer might do so in case he did not receive the service he expected or sometimes it is also a matter of fraud.
2. When a customer reports a dispute, PayPal will notify you by email about the complaint. In addition, you can find the dispute in your PayPal account under "Conflict resolution".
3. In the conflict resolution area in PayPal, you also have the possibility to get in touch with the customer and find a mutual agreement. You have 20 days in order to do so
4. If you do not come to an agreement and the customer is referring to PayPal's buyer protection, you have 10 days to provide more evidence that the customer received the service he bought. For example, a proof could be the confirmation email including the ticket or a validated ticket that proofs that the customer attended the event.
5. The faster you provide PayPal with the information, the faster the dispute can be processed. Please note that the process may take up to 30 days.
If you win the dispute, the money is going back to your PayPal account. On the other hand, in case the dispute is lost, the customer will keep his money and will be transferred back.

Note
During a dispute, the money the customer originally transferred to your PayPal account will not be accessible to you. PayPal will keep the amount until the dispute is solved and will then return it to either you or your customer.
