Note
A resource is something that can be assigned to your products to help organize availability and prevent potential overbooking.
Resources are, for example, workers (trainers and ladders), rooms or halls (such as escape rooms or wind tunnels), vehicles or special equipment (GoPro cameras, kayak paddles or bus).
The Resource Manager is the best way to organize your scarce resources. The following is an overview of the Regiondo Resource Manager and how your company can benefit from it.
Regiondo allows you to connect your available resources to different offers so that you don't have to worry about bookings.

New time handling:
We introduced a new time handling in our offer creation process. Click here to read all the information you need about the new time handling.
Example:
Due to the resources, you have the resource only once.
In your settings, you edit a preparation time of 30 minutes.
You also wanted to offer the product every 60 minutes for one hour.
You wondered why your resource is available at 18:00 but not on 19:00.
- 17.30 - 18.00 preparation time
- 18.00 - 19.00 event time
- 19.00 - 19.30 preparation time
- 19.30 next available slot
19.00 is not available because you would not have the resource available for the 30mins (18.30-19.00) preparation time, as it still in use, therefore the next slot is 19.30.

1. What possibilities exist to use the resources?
Note
Resources can be used in different ways. Depending on the offer, you can customize your individual resources.
Type 1: A limited resource that cannot be shared with other offers
(See example Segway)
- Used when a resource can't be used simultaneously for two different offers
- Is limited
- Can be used only for an offer
Example: You offer 2 different types of Segway Tours, but have only a guide. If a tour is booked, the other tour booking option is automatically deleted because the guide is no longer available at this point.
Type 2: A limited resource that can be shared between services
(see example indoor surfing or indoor flying)
- Is available in a stated number
- At the same time, you can have multiple bookings of different offers for same appointment
- This allows you to maximize sales without overbooking
Example: You offer kayaking tours and kayak rental. 10 kayaks can be borrowed at any time. If a customer books a tour, the number of kayaks, relating to the rental, automatically reduces and customers will be able to book only the remaining kayaks.
Type 3: An unlimited resource
- A resource that has no influence on the amount of bookings
- Unlimited availability
- Helps you to maintain control over the used inventory
Example: You offer wine tastings and plan that everyone is drinking 2 glasses of wine. The wine will not fall short, you can even use this to calculate how much wine will be consumed.
2. How can resources available be added and connected?
2.1 Add new resource
Click on "Resource Manager" and "+ Add new resource"
2.2 Name the resource
This seller for example has 10 individual capacities, e.g. kayaks, which can be shared between the offers.
2.3 Link your offers
Click on Manage Offers > My Offers and click on the pencil icon to edit an existing offer.
Then click on the pencil icon to edit an existing offer.
2.4 Click "Edit"
Then, go to step 3 of the offer, "Tickets". Choose your desired price list and click the gear icon on the right to edit it. Tick the box "This ticket category uses resources" and choose which resources you want to be blocked when a customer buys your product. This can be done by simply clicking on the respective resource. To remove a resource, click the "x" button next to the name.
Click apply first and then Save and continue.
As soon as a customer books an activity, the suitable resources will reduce the amount.
Repeat this step for all necessary resources.
This will help you to better manage your bookings.
Note
In order to represent the mode of operation of the Resource Manager, we have developed three examples for you.

The time of the price category is set for 2 hours. It means the Resource Manager will book 1 resource out of the 7 resources for this time period. In other words, for this time period only 6 tickets are now available for booking.
