If you have an existing offer and want to increase the prices, this is no problem even if customers have already bought vouchers of this offer. You can simply change the prices in the offer creation process and the new prices will go live.
Example
You sell a gift voucher for a baking workshop on your website at a price of 40€ / adult. However, the person does not redeem the gift voucher directly. Meanwhile, you want to increase the price of the baking workshop to 50€ / adult due to e.g. increased food prices. After you have done this in your offer, a gift voucher purchased at the price of 40€ / adult is redeemed. In this case, the person does not have to pay a surcharge!
Below we show you how the whole process would work to illustrate the example.
1. Purchase of the gift voucher for the old price
To see the existing price of your offer, go to the Manage Offers > My Offers and click on the desired offer. This will take you to the overview with the 7 steps of the offer creation. In step 3 Tickets you will see the current prices and the ticket categories.
Example
Here you can see the old prices of 40€ / adult for the baking workshop.
This is how your customers see the baking workshop offer. If they would like to purchase a gift voucher, click on the Buy as a gift tab in the Booking Widget and select the desired number.
Example
In our example, an adult purchases a gift voucher for the price of 40€.
After the payment process, the customer receives the gift voucher with the corresponding voucher code by email.
2. Increase of the price for the offer
If you want to increase the price of the offer, you must also edit the same ticket category in step 3 Tickets of the offer creation and change the price.
Advice
Please also make sure that you change the online price.
Important:
This feature only works, if you keep the same price list and categories as product vouchers are linked to these. Should you change the price list or create a new one, there is no connection to your existing product vouchers.
In this case, the customer will be able to make a manual request for the specific offer and you can map it to the new price list. However, in this case, the customer will not be required to pay the price difference on top via the system. You would need to arrange for that directly with the customer.

After you have increased the price, it should have updated on your website.
3. Redemption of the gift voucher after a price increase
To redeem a voucher, go to Bookings > Redeem Gift Certificate. A field will appear where you can enter the voucher code from the customer's email.
After clicking Continue, your booking will show Paid (Voucher) as the payment status. No further surcharge is required from the customer.
Example
The customer purchased the gift voucher for 40€. Although the offer price was increased to 50€ between the purchase and the redemption of the gift voucher, the customer does not have to pay a surcharge.
