Validating a ticket or voucher records that the code has been used, so you can see which customers have arrived and which codes are still open.
The Ticket Validation function is not mandatory for receiving your payouts. It is intended to provide a better overview.
1. Validate a ticket or voucher
You can validate ticket codes and voucher codes. Both are validated the same way, using any of the methods below: the Regiondo Dashboard, the Regiondo Online Service, the Android/iOS App.
Every Regiondo ticket carries a barcode and a QR code. You can validate either one, or type in the number printed below the code.
Note: Validating a voucher records that it was used, but does not stop it from being redeemed again.
1.1. Validate a code in the Regiondo Dashboard
Enter the code in your Dashboard. This method works online and offline.
- Go to Ticket Validation > Validate tickets.
- Enter the number printed below the barcode on the ticket.
- To validate more than one code, click + Additional ticket and enter the next one. Click Send.
- To Validate a large number of tickets at once, upload an Excel list of codes instead of entering them one by one.
- Go to Ticket Validation > Validate Tickets and click Download list to get the template.
- Enter all codes in the template.
- Save the file as .xls or .xlsx.
- Click Select a File, choose your file, and click Upload list.
1.2. Validate a code in browser
Use the Regiondo Online Service, which works in any browser without opening your dashboard.
- Go to https://www.regiondo.com/ticketvalidation/
- Log in with your operator account.
- Enter the code manually, or scan the barcode into the field.
- Click Validate.
1.3. Validate a code with a smartphone
Use the Regiondo Provider App, available for Android and iOS.
- Go to Ticket Validation > Validate tickets in your Dashboard to find the Google Play and Apple Store links.
- Install the app and log in with your Regiondo operator account.
- Open the camera function in the app.
- Hold the smartphone at a suitable distance from the barcode. The app identifies the code automatically.
Repeat this process for every ticket.
Note:
You need an internet connection to validate codes with your smartphone.
For more information about this, see The Regiondo App.
2. Cancel / invalidate a voucher
Validating a voucher records that a code was used. It does not stop the voucher from being redeemed again — that is a separate action.
To cancel or make a voucher invalid:
- Go to Bookings > Voucher Overview
- Enter the voucher code and click Search.
- Under Update Validity Settings, select the Fixed expiry date and choose today's date.
- Press Save Changes. The voucher status will be updated to Expired
Note:
Changes to validity settings only affect future redemptions, and you remain obliged to honour the voucher in compliance with the law.
Making a code invalid does not refund the customer. If they are also owed money, see the Refund procedure.
3. Validated tickets
Go to Ticket Validation > Validated Tickets in your Dashboard.
You can look up validated orders or export them as an .xls file.
4. Check whether a Regiondo ticket is genuine
Every Regiondo ticket has independent security features, and you can use each one on its own to verify a ticket.
- Customer data — your customer's data is printed on the Regiondo ticket, and your customer is obliged to present an official document when redeeming it.
- Your details — check that your own data is entered correctly on the ticket.
- QR code — the QR code enables real-time verification via a mobile device or online input.
- Ticket code (number / barcode) — each Regiondo ticket has a ten-digit code, consisting of two letters and eight digits, printed between two asterisks. This code must contain your personal three-digit verification number, which you find in your activation e-mail and in your operator portal. If the verification number is not included, the ticket is not valid.
The ticket code is unique and is the simplest verification feature. You can check redeemed tickets in your operator profile and redeem the credit directly. The code is also given as a barcode, which can be decrypted with a scanner.
