Your customers' payments go to Stripe. Stripe separates the amount due to Regiondo and pays the rest into your bank account every Monday. Regiondo never handles your money, and you still receive a monthly invoice from Regiondo.
1. How payouts work
1.1. Where the money goes
The graphic below shows all contracts and the cash flow between them. The money goes to Stripe first, and Stripe separates the amount for Regiondo from the rest before the weekly payout.
- Your customer pays, and the money goes to Stripe.
- Stripe separates the amount that goes to Regiondo from the rest.
- Stripe sends the rest to your bank account as a weekly payout.
1.2. When you are paid
The graphic below shows the timeline of the payout cash flow. Payouts are automatic and happen weekly, every Monday.
1.3. Your Regiondo invoice
You receive a monthly invoice from Regiondo.
2. Set up Stripe Connect
Regiondo offers only Stripe Connect, because it is the best solution for meeting PSD2 requirements. There is no alternative payout method.
2.1. Verify your account in Stripe
Your account must be verified in Stripe before you can use Stripe Connect. Follow Stripe Connect Account Verification. The same article explains how to check that your verification is complete.
2.2. Accept the Stripe Agreement
Accept the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, as required by Regiondo's Terms & Services. You must accept Stripe Connect to receive PSD2-compliant payments with Regiondo.
3. How your data is protected
3.1. What personal data Stripe collects
Stripe Connect is GDPR compliant. See Regiondo's Terms & Services. Stripe describes how it handles personal data in the Privacy Policy.
This is a summary of what Stripe collects, according to Stripe's Privacy Policy:
- From you, as a Stripe user: your contact details, such as name, postal address, telephone number and email address. As part of the business relationship, Stripe may also receive financial and personal information, such as your date of birth and government identifiers for you and your organisation (for example social security number, tax number or Employer Identification Number).
- From your customers: transaction information when they pay through your website or application. This includes payment method information (such as card number or bank account information), purchase amount, date of purchase and payment method. Stripe may also receive their name, email, billing or shipping address and, in some cases, transaction history to authenticate them. The exact data depends on which payment methods you enable and which one the customer chooses.
3.2. PCI compliance
- Transmission: all data is sent securely from Regiondo to Stripe, confirmed via the SAQ-A.
- Storage: Stripe's storage of the data is covered by its official PCI Certification. Stripe explains this, and its other security measures, in Security at Stripe.
3.3. Data exchange between the EU and the USA
Stripe explains how data moves between Stripe EU and its US headquarters in the Stripe Privacy Center.
